Q 1. Carefully read the short argument on page F12 (Links to an external site.) a few times. NOTE: This argument is a great example of POOR USE OF THE FOUR APPEALS. In your first, post, select one question on page F13 from each of the four categories (Links to an external site.): emotional appeals, character appeals, values appeals, and logical appeals (This is four questions total.) 3. Answer your four selected questions in detail, analyzing the argument, "Men Should Have Better Things to Do". Your response should be at a minimum of 600 words total. (See the word count in the lower left.) 4. PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE THE ANALYSIS QUESTIONS IN YOUR RESPONSE. 5. In your second post, respond to a colleague's observations. Select one that has given you new insight into one or more of the four appeals, and explain why in a minimum of 100 words. 6. See the word counter here to check your post length! Character Appeal (1) – The author fails to gain any form of credibility with her writing. The writing is scattered, disoriented and does not abide by any form of logical flow. The initial lines of her article exhibit no form of logical resemblance. She starts off by talking about men in wars and battles but soon shifts her focus to men having cosmetic surgery. When a reader is going through a piece of writing, they will primary focus on the quality of the writing presented before them.
